BOB: Hazelwood
BOB: Hazelwood
COMING: FALL 2025
Our fourth BOB initiative is in the Hazelwood neighborhood.
We have a TON of great things planned for this installment of BOB and, as always, we’re focused on bringing services directly to residents.
Whether you’re a resident, business owner, or general a do-gooder, we’d love to have you be a part of BOB!
BOB: Hazelwood Coverage Area
Hazelwood is a neighborhood in south Louisville. Its boundaries are Manslick Road to the west, I-264 to the north, Taylor Boulevard to the east, and Hazelwood Avenue to the south.
The neighborhood contains notable places, such as Hazelwood Elementary School, UofL Health’s Mary & Elizabeth Hospital, St. Simon & Jude, Save-A-Lot, and the former Iroquois Homes development.
If you live within the orange area on the map, LUCKY YOU!! You’re a part of BOB: Hazelwood!
Not sure if you’re a part of BOB? Contact us.
BOB is popping up in Hazelwood!
We’re setting up shop in Hazelwood to mix and mingle with residents. We’ll have more information about BOB and how to sign-up for FREE services. We’re also interested in how residents envision a better community, so we’re taking ideas big and small so we can make our biggest impact with BOB: Hazelwood!
Catch us on these dates while you’re shopping for groceries or books:
Saturday, September 6th @ Save-a-Lot (4148 Taylor Blvd) from 10 am to noon
Tuesday, September 23rd @ Save-a-Lot (4148 Taylor Blvd) from 6 pm to 8 pm
Saturday, October 4th @ Foxing Books (1314 Bluegrass Ave) from 10 am to noon
Not able to make it? No problem! Hazelwood residents will receive mailers about BOB services and events. The D15 office can also be reached any time by contacting us.
Are you a Hazelwood resident?
Residents of Hazelwood can select FREE services for their property, such as smoke detector installation, tree plantings, home repairs, mobile doctor visits, and a whole lot more! On our BIG BOB Day (or before!), we will bring these services directly to residents.
Starting in August, we’ll be going door-to-door with a “menu” for residents to make their selections. If residents are not home when we knock, we’ll leave a door hanger with all the information needed to sign-up. Residents can also fill out the form online (coming soon!).
BOB can’t happen without amazing volunteers, so whether you want to help set-up on BIG BOB Day, pick up trash, or whatever, we’d love to have you as a part of our BOB family!
